NOC Energy has created electric heating technology that can be added to existing fossil fuel facilities, allowing companies to reduce fossil fuel use while maintaining cost flexibility. The system uses induction heating to warm steel spheres to temperatures up to 1,200°C, with development toward 1,500°C. It can store heat for hours, enabling operators to use cheaper electricity during peak renewable generation. The company raised $2.7 million in seed funding led by 360 Capital.
