Youth held for plotting terror strikes in India received orders from Iraq-based handler

What Happened
Rizwan Ahmad, 28, arrested April 4 from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, was coordinating with Iraq-based ISIS handler Abu Osama. Police recovered IED components including potassium nitrate, citric acid, wires, batteries at his residence. Ahmad recruited three-four youths and targeted specific locations for terror strikes. He was previously convicted in 2016, released in 2024. FIR registered under BNS and UAPA sections.
