Lalit, 23, from Panipat defeated China's Shi Huoying in the Asian Wrestling Championships semi-final at 55kg Greco-Roman category in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Orphaned at two and adopted by wrestler Vijay Gahlawat at fifteen, Lalit now competes in the final against Uzbekistan's Ikhtiyor Botirov.
