WireGuard VPN developer can’t ship software updates after Microsoft locks account

Jason Donenfeld, creator of WireGuard VPN software, was locked out of his Microsoft developer account and cannot sign drivers or ship Windows updates. Microsoft's mandatory account verification program closed without notifying developers. VeraCrypt's developer faced similar circumstances. Both projects serve millions of users worldwide. Microsoft's executive support team said review could take up to sixty days.
