West Bengal: Congress candidate makes it to rolls hrs before deadline for nomination

What Happened
An appellate Tribunal ordered the Election Commission to restore Congress candidate Md Mottakin Alam's name to the voter roll in West Bengal on Monday, the final day for nomination filing for the Ratua Assembly seat. The Supreme Court had directed the Tribunal to dispose of the case by 12:30 pm. Alam's name was deleted during a Special Intensive Revision exercise. Fellow Congress candidate Mohtab Sheikh also received similar relief Sunday.
