What Happened
Sayajibaug Zoo in Vadodara welcomed triplet cubs from white tigers Radha and Vallabh on April 9, marking the zoo's first white tigers in 40 years. One cub was stillborn, another died within 48 hours. The surviving cub, weighing 650 grams at birth, is being hand-reared by veterinarians in a neonatal care unit. Zoo curator Dr Pratyush Patankar stated the underweight cubs and first-time mother struggled with care. The surviving cub has gained weight and shows improvement.
