
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for central California's Sierra Nevada through Sunday, 11 PM PDT. The region expects up to two feet of additional snowfall with wind gusts reaching 45 mph. Whiteout conditions and visibility below a quarter mile are anticipated. The warning covers Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. Travel is considered treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Snow accumulations could reach 14 inches in some areas. Precipitation will expand inland across the Great Basin and Pacific Northwest through Monday.
