What Happened
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust is set to debut Wednesday on NYSE Arca under ticker MSBT, becoming the twelfth spot bitcoin ETF in the U.S. and the first from a major Wall Street bank. The trust holds actual bitcoin, charges 0.14% annually, and uses BNY and Coinbase Custody for storage. Morgan Stanley manages $1.9 trillion in assets. Since January 2024, the first eleven spot bitcoin ETFs have attracted over $56 billion in net inflows.
