Uttar Pradesh government has notified revised minimum wage rates effective April 1, structured into three categories based on regional cost of living. Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad face highest wages: Rs 13,690 unskilled, Rs 15,059 semi-skilled, Rs 16,868 skilled workers. The move follows labour protests in Noida and Greater Noida, aiming to restore industrial stability and ease worker-employer tensions through dearness allowance linkage.
