Uber is the latest to be won over by Amazon’s AI chips

What Happened

Uber expanded its Amazon Web Services contract on Tuesday to use more AWS cloud services for ride-sharing features. The company will increase use of Graviton chips and begin testing Trainium, Amazon's artificial intelligence chip. This move follows Uber's 2023 deals with Oracle and Google Cloud. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy previously stated Trainium generated multibillion-dollar revenue in December.
