What Happened
An SUV carrying six Chandigarh residents fell into an 800-metre gorge near Summer Hill in Shimla on Monday night, killing two occupants. Bara Singh, 55, and Gurmeet Singh, 50, died after being rushed to IGMC hospital. The driver lost control while reversing the vehicle around 11:30 pm. Police registered a case under negligence and rash driving sections. The SUV remains in the gorge.
