
Amit Kshatriya, an Indian-American scientist, serves as NASA's Associate Administrator and Chief Operating Officer. Born in Wisconsin to immigrant parents, he holds degrees in mathematics from Caltech and University of Texas. Joining NASA in 2003, he worked as software and robotics engineer on the International Space Station. He led teams as flight director and managed ISS operations. In 2025, he was appointed associate administrator. Kshatriya recently praised astronauts and teams behind Artemis II's successful lunar mission return.
