To curb traffic congestion, UP Police launch AI-based pilot project in 20 districts

What Happened

Uttar Pradesh Police launched an AI-based pilot project called C-RTC Scheme in 20 districts to reduce traffic congestion. The system analyzes travel times and identifies congestion points across 172 selected routes. Route marshals will manage traffic using a 5E approach including enforcement, technology, and encroachment removal. Performance will be reviewed after one month for potential expansion.
