Glydways, a San Francisco startup developing autonomous pods for dedicated urban lanes, raised $170 million in Series C funding led by Suzuki Motor, ACS Group, and Khosla Ventures. The company reportedly seeks another $250 million, targeting over $1 billion valuation. Glydways claims its system moves 10,000 people hourly per lane with 90% lower infrastructure costs than rail. Three pilots launch this year in Atlanta, New York, and UAE, with large-scale operations planned for 2027.
