Eighteen-year-old Gout Gout set a world Under-20 record in the 200 metres with 19.67 seconds at the Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney on Sunday. He became the first Australian to break the 20-second barrier in legal conditions, surpassing Usain Bolt's time at the same age. Fellow Australian Aidan Murphy finished second with 19.88 seconds.
