What Happened
Spotify announced new controls allowing users to disable all videos in its app. Family Plan managers can toggle video content for any member. Starting this month, all users on Individual, Duo, Family, Student, Premium, Basic, and free plans can control video appearance in settings under "Content and display." Users can switch Canvas looping visuals on or off. Changes apply across mobile, desktop, web, and TV. Video ads remain visible. Spotify added music video support in 2024.
