Southern States’ combined representation will increase from 23.76% to 23.90% in LS after delimitation, says Anurag Thakur

What Happened

BJP leader Anurag Thakur dismissed opposition claims that delimitation would harm southern States, calling it a false narrative. Under the proposed 50% formula, all five southern States gain seats beyond 2011 Census projections. Tamil Nadu gets 59 seats, Kerala 30, Karnataka 42, Andhra Pradesh 37, and Telangana 25.
