The Bombay High Court directed the Director General of Shipping to send seafarer Dixit Solanki's remains to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai for DNA testing. The 32-year-old oiler was killed in a suspected missile strike off Oman's coast in April, becoming the first Indian casualty in the West Asia conflict. His skeletal remains arrived in Mumbai on April 5. The court ordered the lab to provide DNA test reports to his family, addressing delays in identification procedures.
