
The Centre told the Supreme Court's nine-judge bench that restricting women aged 10-50 from entering Sabarimala temple is a matter of religious faith and denominational autonomy beyond judicial review. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued courts can intervene only if practices violate public order, morality, or health. Justice Nagarathna questioned treating women as untouchable monthly. Mehta stated the restriction applies only to one temple based on age, not menstruation.
