What Happened
Chandigarh Police arrested Swati Singla, Abhishek Singla, and Ankur Sharma in connection with a Rs 75-crore IDFC First Bank-linked CREST scam. Police allege the trio routed siphoned government funds through shell companies like Swastik Desh Project. Investigators found 272 unauthorized transactions in one account and 31 in another. Total loss reached Rs 75.16 crore plus Rs 7.88 crore interest. Ten people have been arrested so far.
