What Happened
A Rapido cab driver was attacked by six passengers following a fare dispute in Pune on April 5. Driver Shrikrishna Madhukar Lad, 30, was hit with a stone after refusing to charge the app fare for accommodating four women in the backseat. Police booked two men and four women under BNS sections. The driver was hospitalized with head injuries. The accused allegedly abused and assaulted him after he insisted on Rs 25 per km.
