What Happened
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the third Informal Group of Ministers meeting Wednesday. The group discussed energy prices following Iran-US ceasefire agreement. India evacuated more vessels from Strait of Hormuz than any other country in forty days. Eight LPG vessels carrying 340 tonnes transited safely. Ministers reviewed food security measures including rice, wheat, and edible oil stocks. The government monitors forty food commodities from 578 centres nationwide.
