A four-member investigation team led by former MRPL MD M. Venkatesh reached Barmer to probe Monday's fire at HPCL Rajasthan Refinery. The 9-million-tonne facility, joint venture of HPCL and Rajasthan government, caught fire day before PM Modi's scheduled inauguration. HPCL stated hydrocarbon leak through valve or flange caused fire. All units remain structurally safe.
