What Happened
Punjab appointed IPS officer Sharad Satya Chauhan as vigilance bureau chief Monday. Chauhan replaced P K Sinha, who becomes law and order OSD. The 1992-batch officer previously headed Police Housing Corporation. Punjab simultaneously transferred twelve IAS officers including four deputy commissioners to new positions across districts and state departments.
