
Pune Zila Parishad plans to extend schools up to class 10 if they meet a minimum criteria of 25 passing students advancing to the next class, said CEO Gajanan Patil. Currently, most operate only till class 4 or 7. The organization manages 3,500 schools serving 2.3 lakh students. Plans include converting one school per taluka to CBSE and establishing 100 science and robotics labs across schools.
