
Hungary's Peter Magyar's Tisza party won a landslide victory in parliamentary elections, defeating Prime Minister Viktor Orban after 16 years in office. With 53.45 percent of precincts counted, Tisza received 52.49 percent of votes compared to Orban's Fidesz at 38.83 percent. Orban conceded defeat and congratulated Magyar. Tisza is projected to win over 130 of 199 parliamentary seats, securing a two-thirds majority. Turnout exceeded 77 percent, a record in post-Communist Hungary.
