What Happened
AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami promised to implement the Nadanthai Vazhi Cauvery rejuvenation project if his party wins power. Speaking in Thanjavur with AMMK general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran, Palaniswami accused the DMK government of halting the project despite Central government in-principle approval and ₹11,600 crore allocation. He stated the DMK included it in policy notes but failed implementation.
