Pakistan national team selector Misbah-ul-Haq forced to defend himself for working with PSL franchise

What Happened

Pakistan Cricket Board selector Misbah-ul-Haq defended his consulting work with PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi despite being on PCB payroll. He claimed his pre-existing contract predated his selector role. Previously, PCB prohibited Sarfaraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz from working with Quetta Gladiators citing conflict of interest. Misbah stated his arrangement was different and that observing young players in PSL helped his selection decisions.
