Pakistan issues 2,800 visas to Indians for Baisakhi pilgrimage

Pakistan has issued approximately 2,800 visas to Indian nationals for the annual Baisakhi pilgrimage starting April 10, 2026. This represents a decrease from last year's 6,500 visas. Pilgrims will visit three major Sikh gurdwaras: Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib, and Kartarpur Sahib. The 10-day festival runs from April 10-19. This follows the framework of the 1974 Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines.
