Rajeev Kumar Singh, 40, husband of Devari village pradhan Pratima Singh, was shot dead in Mirzapur's Katra area on Saturday during a morning walk. Two assailants on a motorcycle fired at him from close range. Police identified one suspect as Hari Rajan Sonkar. The shooting allegedly stemmed from a panchayat election rivalry. CCTV footage shows the attackers waiting roadside.
