
West Bengal's voter rolls have shrunk by 89 lakh people following adjudication. Of 27.16 lakh deleted voters, 14.28 lakh (52.6%) cannot vote in the first phase on April 23 across 152 constituencies. The remaining 12.87 lakh have until April 9 to appeal. Total registered voters fell from 7.66 crore to 6.77 crore. Tribunals supervising appeals remain non-functional.
