South African pacer Lungi Ngidi credits West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo for developing his signature slower ball variation. Ngidi's off-cutter and leg-cutter proved effective during February's T20 World Cup, where he took 12 wickets in seven matches as Proteas' leading wicket-taker. He learned the dipping slower ball technique from Bravo during their Chennai Super Kings stint in IPL 2018, which continues benefiting him at Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026.
