What Happened
India has transitioned women's empowerment from policy intent to infrastructure development. Over 57 crore bank accounts opened under PM Jan Dhan Yojana, with 55% held by women. Nearly 10 crore women organized into 90 lakh self-help groups drive entrepreneurship. PM Ujjwala Yojana reached 10.5 crore households. Seventy percent of MUDRA loans went to women entrepreneurs. Female labour force participation increased to 37%.
