What Happened
The Gujarat High Court directed the State Election Commission to include Shashankkumar Mishra's name in the electoral roll for Vapi Municipal Corporation polls scheduled April 26. Mishra's name was excluded after a Special Intensive Revision exercise, despite being included in assembly constituency rolls. The court ruled his name cannot be excluded once verified in the assembly electoral roll. Updated rolls publish Friday.
