What Happened
Greater Bengaluru Authority has begun monsoon preparedness measures in flood-prone areas. A 2.7-kilometer storm-water drain connecting Yelahanka Lake to Jakkur Lake is under construction in vulnerable zones like Kendriya Vihar and Kogilu Junction. Officials completed 1.5 kilometers of the drain and created temporary drainage along remaining sections. The project includes 30-foot-wide service roads on both sides.
