The Michael Jackson biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua underwent a $15 million reshoot of its third act after attorneys discovered a settlement clause prohibiting depiction of child molestation accusations. The original version, budgeted at $155 million, featured scenes about 1993 allegations. Twenty-two days of additional photography occurred in June 2025. The film now ends during Jackson's Bad tour, focusing on his relationship with father Joe Jackson. Release is scheduled for April 24, 2026.
