Amritpal Singh Mehron, accused in Instagram influencer Kanchan Kumari's June 2025 murder, was deported from UAE to India on Thursday. Mehron fled to Dubai after the killing in Bathinda. Police said Kanchan was strangled for posting 'immoral' content. Mehron reportedly claimed responsibility via video. Two associates were arrested. A Bathinda court declared him a proclaimed offender in February 2026.
