Kharagpur Sadar, known as 'Mini India' for its diverse demographics including Bengalis, Telugus, and other communities, voted Thursday in West Bengal Assembly elections Phase-1. BJP's Dilip Ghosh faces TMC's Pradip Sarkar. Ghosh previously won here in 2016 but lost the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Sarkar, former Municipality Chairman, won the 2019 by-election for TMC with 23,000-vote margin.
