What Happened
A bomb attack in Manipur's Bishnupur district killed a five-year-old boy and six-month-old girl early Tuesday. The explosive device was hurled at a house in Moirang Tronglaobi around 1 AM, injuring their mother. The incident triggered protests with residents burning oil tankers and vehicles. Police recovered another explosive device nearby. The area has experienced repeated violence during ethnic clashes between Meitei and Kuki-Zo groups since 2023.
