Louisiana shooting: Gunman kills his own children, was dealing with mental health issues

What Happened
A 31-year-old gunman, Shamar Elkins, killed eight children aged one to fourteen in Shreveport, Louisiana, including seven of his own children in execution-style attacks. Reportedly struggling with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, Elkins also shot his wife and another person before carjacking a vehicle. Police pursued him across neighbourhoods and fatally shot him during the chase.
