Kumarapalayam constituency, 58 km from Namakkal, houses over 50,000 power loom workers and 30,000 spinning mill employees. Formed in 2008, it comprises Kumarapalayam taluk, two municipalities, and two town panchayats. Residents demand a flyover, effluent discharge restrictions into Cauvery River, increased bus services, and resettlement assistance for flood-affected citizens. AIADMK's P.
