BJP Christian leaders in Kerala said Friday that Church heads urged voters to support the Congress-led UDF despite BJP's support during the FCRA Bill controversy. Party leaders Shone George and P C George, fielded in Kottayam district constituencies with significant Catholic populations, expressed frustration. They claimed a bishop directed nuns to vote UDF. The FCRA Bill, which would require Churches to disclose foreign funding details, was shelved after BJP intervention. The leaders questioned why the Church opposed them after their support.
