What Happened
Kandla Port conducted a successful methanol bunkering trial, refueling ships with cleaner fuel instead of conventional marine fuel. The port aims to supply 500 KTPA of renewable e-methanol by 2028-29 for dual-fuel vessels on Asia-Europe routes. Kandla achieved Level 6 rating on the Port Readiness Level scale.
