The US Navy is enforcing a blockade around Iran as President Trump promotes American oil exports to fill the global energy gap. The Strait of Hormuz, which normally handles 20 million barrels daily, is closed due to conflict. US crude exports average 3.9-4.2 million barrels per day. However, American lighter crude cannot fully replace heavier Gulf oils that Asian refineries require. US refined products like gasoline and diesel show stronger export growth, reaching 7.9 million barrels weekly.
