What Happened
Delhi Police has created a dedicated Anti-Narcotics Task Force to combat drug trafficking across India. NDPS cases surged from 566 in 2021 to 2,154 by 2025. The specialized unit will track heroin, cocaine, and synthetic drug inflows, coordinate with national agencies, and employ over 200 staff. A dedicated police station will operate from South Delhi's Malviya Nagar.
