
Haryana teenager Pooja cleared 1.90m at India Open Athletics Series in New Delhi, setting a new personal best and becoming first Indian high jumper to reach this mark since 2012. The 19-year-old, unbeaten nationally for six competitions, narrowly missed the national record of 1.92m. Training under new coach Sergey Biran from Uzbekistan, Pooja aims to win a medal at Junior World Championships after finishing ninth at U20 Worlds in 2024.
