The AIMIM is contesting 12 West Bengal assembly constituencies where the TMC won decisively in 2021, responding to accusations it acts as BJP's vote-splitter. The party broke its alliance with former TMC leader Humayun Kabir's AJUP after a video emerged allegedly showing Kabir discussing BJP funding. AIMIM's 12 candidates focus on Muslim-majority areas in Murshidabad, Malda, and border districts. In 2021, AIMIM secured only 0.93% average vote share in Bengal.
