In 15% Bengal seats, voter deletions during adjudication exceed 2021 victory margins

What Happened

Election Commission data shows 44 of West Bengal's 294 Assembly constituencies experienced higher voter deletions during adjudication than their 2021 winning margins. These seats split between TMC (24 seats) and BJP (20 seats). In Samserganj, 74,775 voters were deleted versus TMC's 26,111-vote margin. Balarampur saw 1,037 deletions against BJP's 273-vote win. Total deletions reached 27.16 lakh voters statewide after the Special Intensive Revision process.
