What Happened

Approximately 1,000 volunteers from 70 countries are sailing 70 boats from Barcelona to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid and challenge Israel's naval blockade. The Global Resilience Flotilla carries food, medicine, and school supplies. Organizers aim to open sea and land humanitarian corridors. This is the second major flotilla in under a year. Previous flotillas since 2010 have been intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters.
