What Happened

Defense startup Hermeus raised $350 million, comprising $200 million in equity led by Khosla Ventures and $150 million in debt, pushing valuation to $1 billion. The Los Angeles-based company develops unmanned hypersonic aircraft. Hermeus partnered with RTX subsidiary Pratt & Whitney to modify the F100 engine for its aircraft. The startup flew a demonstrator the size of an F-16 last month and employs approximately 300 people.
